The Angry Birds Phenomenon! Learn The Secrets!

After listening to my daughter play Angry Birds on Android, for the last few months, I decided to see what it was all about over the Christmas holiday. It didn’t take long to understand why people are so captivated by the phenomenon that is Angry Birds. It’s a friggin’ riot! What better way to spend your time than helping a flock of of angry birds reclaim the eggs stolen from them by a herd of nasty looking, evil pigs? On a list of ten things I would rather do, Angry Birds (for a brief period of time) seemed to be at the top of my list.

While looking for a keyword to optimize for our first post here on the Applications Hub I couldn’t resist the numbers. At present, according to Google trends, there are more than 1.5 million people searching for everything Angry Birds, on a monthly basis! From clothing, to coffee mugs to pretty much anything you can put a label on, Angry Birds are everywhere. It reminds me a bit of the Cabbage Patch and Power Rangers crazes of decades gone by. While I didn’t see any angry mobs assaulting the doors of the local retailers over Angry Birds, this passed holiday season, the sales numbers for this brand were off the charts.

It didn’t take long to figure out how to play. The gave is very simple, actually. Just load an angry bird into your sling shot, pull back and let em’ fly! But, as I came to find out in the advanced stages, there are a few things you need to know how to do to beat the more challenging levels as you move forward in the game.

Each bird has a unique power. For example, the yellow Angry Birds, with the click of your left mouse button, have the ability to accelerate and break through wooden planks and glass. Other birds drop exploding eggs, work like a boomerang and even explode like a bomb.

Placement of each bird is key. If you pay close attention to the structures that protect the evil pigs, each structure seems to have a place of entry that is best suited for bringing it down and wiping out the herd of egg stealing swine. The placement, in most cases, needs to be pretty precise. Some levels seem almost impossible if you don’t evaluate the set up before you begin slinging the Angry Birds through the air.

Learning the game, as you reach the advanced levels, comes down to a lot of trial and error. One wrong bird and the possibility of defeating the pigs is gone. At that point, save your time and just click the refresh button.

There is a ton of information via Google, YouTube and Facebook for Angry Birds. Any tips, tricks, codes and cheats you are looking for are readily available with little effort. We found that searching for “angry birds” via Google gave us access to information on any questions we had regarding the game.

To make both of our lives easier I found a couple of cool videos, via YouTube, that paint a very good picture of the Angry Birds game for PC. We also found a video containing tips for unlocking bonus levels in Angry Birds Rio.

As with just about everything online, today, if you want to play for free then you’ll have to put up with some advertising, but it’s not too bad. I’ve seen way worse, to the point of frustration and removal of the game from my Android phone or laptop. I’ve actually been considering purchasing some of the advertising through the Chrome interface. If there are millions of people playing this game, every day, then the advertising will probably produce with the right product or service.
